How To: Keep Your Head High In A World Of "No's"
Have you ever been so sure an opportunity was going to work out and then end up crushed when it doesn’t? Of course you have! We have all experienced this level of bewilderment after an opportunity does not work out the way we had planned.
Things like this happen every day and Disney’s fairytales did NOT prepare us for situations like this.
Excellent students don’t get into the college of their dreams, diligent employees don’t get the job after ace-ing the interview, and relationships come to an end when you were sure this one was going to work out. Things like this happen every day and Disney’s fairytales did NOT prepare us for situations like this.
When we get “No’s” in place of the “Yes” we were whole-heartedly expecting, it can absolutely consume us. It can leave us questioning “Why”? I am here to tell you why these things happen. It is the Universe’s way of guiding you to exactly what you are supposed to do. We cannot choose what is meant for us and that is where the Universe comes in. Whether you see the “Universe” as “God” or “Spirit” doesn’t much matter, but rather the idea of divine timing being a very important factor in your success.
Every moment is created for us to grow and excel in becoming who we are meant to be.
Divine Timing is a set time in which everything happens as it is supposed to. Everything that happens to you is actually happening FOR you, allowing you to create the life you were meant to live. When these “No’s” occur, they are actually gentle nudges in the right direction (whether we like it or not).
As you grow and develop in life you may get fired or drift apart from friends who don’t support you. Both are hard pills to swallow, but lessons nonetheless. If that job was meant for you, you would not have been let go. Similarly, if that friend was supportive and true, the relationship would strengthen with success instead of crumble.
Life is in the business of teaching us lessons. Instead of allowing it to put a dark cloud over our head, we have to take a deep breath and look at what lesson it is teaching us. Every moment is created for us to grow and excel in becoming who we are meant to be. Just look at those most difficult moments as an expedited growth cycle launching you forward to your next chapter.
